I have seen many women ask how to make their husband more romantic but i wonder how many of them are really seeing the Forest through the trees! and i mean by this is my husband is not the romantic type when it comes to bringing me flowers or love notes or standing out side our house with a boom box over his head but he is the kind of guy who goes out in the pouring rain for my book because i was on the last chapter! he tells me to put my foot on his leg so he can tie my shoe! my picture is his background on his phone, he remembers my coat on our way out the door because I grab the kids but will forget mine ,he will get up in the middle of the night for a drink of water for me because i am to cold and so many more things! and for me this out weighs flowers, gifts or love notes do other women see these things about their men and are thankful? or do most of us wish we had those "you complete me moments"? just wondering!
Are all women stuck in the movie/T.V idea of romance?
Hi, I actually laugh at romantic movies, my husband is closer to cave man than to romantic. But he makes me laugh, is a great dad, knows when I need space and knows when I need a hug. He once bought me an aloe vera plant for a birthday gift (i'm allergic). But we've been together for fifteen years and have four beautiful daughters. We rarely argue and finish each others sentences. I think we are the design for romantic comedy. I agree with you, there are more important things than flowers.
Reply:What you have sounds sweet and I wish i had it. Its just perfect for you. Keep him.
Reply:no, my wife love our real romance more.
Reply:Oh my darling I love a man who will do almost
anything for me
Yes I love this he cooks all my meals for him and me
and do just about anything for me
that is my kind of man
Reply:Thats funny you sound like you got my husband's twin LOL, I do like flowers though and he doesn't buy them except on rare special occasions so I buy them for myself when I feel like it. He doesn't like to buy them because they alwys die and he feels like he wasted money...no whe buys me flower plants, he got me a gardenia plant and it was so sweet because he rememebered they were in my bridal bouquet 8 years ago.
Reply:no other women's husbands do not do those things - you should realise your husband is special and stop comparing him to what you think all men should do - they do not.
Reply:My boyfriend doesn't buy me flowers unless he did something wrong and wants to apologize (nothing really bad, but he knows he was in the wrong). I had a guy that bought me a dozen roses every week but he was abusive and a cheater. TV is just that TV. It's all scripted. My man is great at helping out around the house and someone I can easily talk to. Who needs flowers that will wither away in a few days. They are cute, but they dont really do much. Sometimes I wish my man could be a little more romantic, but usually it's only when I am watching a romantic movie. I'm thankful he is the way he is. He does complete me! No matter what he is the one I wanna wake up to every morning!
