Looking for a Cinderella film?

When I was younger, not very long ago, we used to have a film of cinderella, but it wasn't the cartoon disney version.





Instead of a Fairy God Mother it had Mag the mermaid, I think, and Cinderellas father is being poisoned by the evil stepmother, so he is too ill to go to the ball.





Also all the costumes are updated a bit, and the prince is uninterested in going to the ball, he would rather stay with his friends.


Apart from that I only remember the scene where Cinderella arrives at the ball but the guards won't let her in because she isn't wearing any shoes. She sits on a bench in the garden and starts to cry but petals fall from a tree over her and create shoes, so then she is let in to the ball.





Does anyone know what this film was called or anything about it?
