Baby birds fell otta tree, need help!!!!?
Contact a licensed wildlife rehabilitator. You should be able to find one here: http://www.wildliferehabber.org/

Licensed wildlife rehabilitators have the specialized training to care for sick, injured and orphaned wild animals, and they have the required state and federal licenses that allow them to keep the wild animals until they are healthy enough to be released.

Do not take the animals to a vet - vets are for pets, and most vets do not have the expertise to care for wild animals; nor do most vets have the proper licenses that would allow them to keep a recuperating wild animal.

Do not attempt to keep these birds and care for them yourself. In the US, ALL native migratory birds – not just endangered species - are protected under federal law (Migratory Bird Treaty Act), and it is illegal to keep any protected bird unless you have the required permits. Penalties for violating this law include fines of up to $500 and/or up to 6 months in jail for each offense.

Many other countries have similar laws pursuant to the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, which is an international treaty, protecting their native species.

While preparing them to go to the rehabber, place them in a small box lined with paper towel - not cloth, as the birds%26#039; nails could get caught in the material. Cover the box and place it in a warm, dark, quiet area. Do not allow any animals, children or excitable adults near it. Do not attempt to feed the birds - they may have been injured by the fall, and no injured birds should be fed before being evaluated by a medical expert. Do not attempt to give them any water - they could aspirate and die.
Reply:The best thing is to try to put them back possibly the fell out due to wind or moving around, if you can%26#039;t put them back you need to call a wildlife rehabilitator that handles birds or that can give you another number for one to call. Try the local avian vet or any vets office to get a number. Until then keep them warm but not overly warm. Depends on the type of bird as to what to feed them. You can always take them back out to the tree and place them near the base where the parents can find them. Keep an eye on them but don%26#039;t disturb the area and watch for the parents to go to them if they don%26#039;t then bring them in for the night and return to the area tomorrow.
Reply:Best option would be to phone animal control. In the meantime if you have an eye dropper and some baby food cereal or oatmeal. Warm it up and give it to them in small amounts until the animal control persons arrive. You can warm either up with water. Make sure they are warm also. Place a clean ripped up rag or towel to keep them warm. Also place a light of some sort over them for warmth, but not too close. Good Luck.
Reply:This is a normal situation for ALL birds.

1. Mother bird often kicks out those birds that she seems to

know won%26#039;t make it to adulthood.

2. Bigger birds will boot the littler birds out. . . hence the

the saying that the strongest will survive.

If these little birds have lost very much of their much needed temperature, they will die anyway.

All in all and though often times a hard thing to watch, this is Nature and the way things work in the world.
Reply:Call Wildlife. They will take the babies. That is if you can%26#039;t get the babies back into the nest. Its a fable about the parent birds wont take care of them if a human touches them. Matter fact is they don%26#039;t have that sense of smell to know you touch them. Put them in a warm place and call.
Reply:You should buy it some seeds, and keep the birds in a room thats warm or average. The birds should stay alive. AS long as you make sure their warm.

Then you should ask some one that you know won%26#039;t call animal control.

And they%26#039;ll help you more with the birds.
Reply:put them back under the tree...the mother may feed them ....but if they are too young im afraid you cant do much...can you climb the tree and put them back? no im thinking this is a palm tree so no on that.....they could be reared by hand...you need to go ask a qualified person. ....good luck
Reply:First things first: you need to find out wat kinda birds they are and what you could feed them cuz most baby birds have to be fed in order to live.

Second of all, you should see what they eat.

hope this helped! :P
Reply:Do you have a wildlife center near you? Most counties do. They will take the birds and hand raise them. Last year I took 3 little Mocking Birds to ours and they even gave me an option to call and see how they were doing.
