There%26#039;s this paragraph that kinda confuses me, it%26#039;s in %26quot;Pilgrim at the Tinker Creek%26quot; by Annie Dillard. if anyone could help analyze it/explain it..that%26#039;d be great, thanks:
“I sit on the downed tree and watch the black steers slip on the creek bottom. They are all bred beef: beef heart beef hide, beef hocks. They’re a human product like rayon. They’re like a field of shoes. They have cast-iron shanks and tongues like foam insoles. You can’t see through to their brains as you can see with other animals; they have beef fat behind their eyes, beef stew.”
i don%26#039;t understand where the beef stuff come from..this book is annnnnnnoying -.- what%26#039;s the black steers?...yea this whole paragraph just lost me..i%26#039;m guessing black steers are cows? since he talks about %26quot;bred beef%26quot;?? ahh i don%26#039;t knoww
