I'm going insane over Pi?

I need a drink, alcoholic of course! After the heavy lectures involving memorisation of numbers!

I%26#039;m trying to atleast remember 3,000 digits of Pi but the problem is my strategy can%26#039;t exceed 250 digits!

I always have these images in my head and I%26#039;m sick of them!:

Bun, Door, Bun 2, Bee-hive, Shoe, Sticks, Bee-hive, Tree, Bee-hive, Sticks, Wine, Heaven, Wine...

I tried another strategy and I%26#039;m sick of these words:

dartle, bin, gell, malfboy, keep, man, mafia, ridge, I am, ajar, mum, famine, dodge, map...

Got any other strategy that DOESN%26#039;T fill my head with a whacky story that doesn%26#039;t at all make sense?

Warm it up and put ice cream on it--you%26#039;ll feel better.
Reply:You just have to remember the numbers in chunks, like telephone numbers. Break it up into 10 digit chunks or whatever is most aesthetcally appealing. Mneumonic devices rarely work for me with numbers, it%26#039;s better just to remember the numbers as if they were an array of phone numbers.
Reply:Sure, just memorize the digits, ten at a time. It%26#039;s not as difficult as it sounds.
Reply:Why on earth would anyone want to remember more than the first four or five digits of pi?
Reply:I saw a guy who memorized the first 100 digits of pi. He did it by breaking it all down into phone numbers, which are ten digits long (with area code).
Reply:There is a book called Cadaeic Cadenza and every word has the same number of letters as Pi.

Ex: One / A Poem / A Raven / Midnights so dreary, tired and weary,

3 . 1 4 1 5 9 2 6 5 3 5

There are also other books written in that manner
Reply:Each person memorizes differently so it might work or might not but try NOT to memorize it all at once it will just mess you up.

Take breaks between each interval of numbers you memorize.

When you memorized a lot of the numbers then start reciting from the beginning again before you go to memorize new numbers.

Hope it will help you.
